When searching for an educational consultant it is critical that you find one with the knowledge and experience to support you and your child.
Dr. Sheila Kukstis, holds five educational certifications, including a Bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education, a Master's in Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Through her previous work as a principal and assistant superintendent, she has a strong understanding of curriculum, current strategies and practices, school discipline and state and federal regulations and laws. Through her work in special education, she has written IEPs, led Team meetings and worked closely with districts to ensure students' needs are met.

Sheila brings to you over 40 years working in school systems across the South Shore, Cape Cod, and Boston. Sheila focuses on ensuring all children succeed. She has worked in leadership positions in public, private, charter schools and approved special education schools. She understands how school systems work.

Sheila and her husband Paul have lived in Scituate, MA for over 40 years, raising three children there. She and her husband have been active members of the community throughout these years. They own a small business in Scituate as well. When not working as a consultant, Sheila volunteers on the Scituate Education Foundation, is a Scituate Library Trustee and an avid gardener, quilter and voracious reader.

Intro Consultation
The educational process can be overwhelming for families, feeling lost in an alphabet soup of educational terms and intimidated by a process that families do not understand. We offer a complimentary one-hour consultation to review and gain a better understanding of the educational concerns that families have.. After this initial consultation, we follow up with the family to recommend an appropriate service for their needs.
Hourly Consultations
We are available on an hourly basis to give families support on a wide arrange of educational issues. Our services include consultation, coaching and review of academic records. Bringing over 40 years of relevant practice in school settings, we are able to offer families a unique lens that many other consultants are unable to offer.
Complete Advocacy Service
We offer a complete service that includes evaluating the student's academic record, working with families to interpret testing and special education documents from the school, coaching families in advance of team meetings and attending team meetings to advocate for the student and family. .
